Craniosacral Work

Craniosacral therapy technique

Craniosacral therapy is a gentle hands on treatment to the bones of the skull and the tissues within, being the dura. The dura can be thought of as a plastic bag that contains your brain, spinal cord, and cerebrospinal fluid. When the dura becomes restricted or tethered onto nearby bones, the whole system can't function optimally. The patient may experience restrictions in the joints anywhere along the spine, headaches, or irritation to the nerves as they exit through the dura. So this work is done to free up these restrictions and get this often overlooked system back to tip-top shape. Craniosacral work can have a powerful effect throughout the entire body, via the central nervous system.

Cranial work can help people with conditions such as:

Headaches, migraines, neck or back pain, concussions, whiplash, herniated discs, restrictions along the spine, insomnia, and many more.

Craniosacral work has been well known in the industry for quite some time. While yes, it does provide some great results, I will never provide exclusively a cranial session. As with any modality that I practice, I will pick and choose which techniques are best suited to the patient at the time for the most effect.
