Joints & Alignment

Joint and alignment therapy technique

I've always loved joint work, however over the years my view on joint work has changed a bit. My approach to joints & alignment now incorporates much more than just the joint capsule. It is also about the surrounding nerves, arteries, bone tissue, cartilage, muscles, fluid inside the joints, ligaments and even the visceral connections. If these tissues are the culprit they're not going to allow the joint to sit in the correct position, or at least not stay there for very long. If one component becomes problematic the entire joint begins to compensate. This leads to dysfunction ranging from temporary pain to even long term damage. All body parts and systems of the body are interconnected, joints included, so when there is dysfunction in one place other areas can be negatively affected.

The cause of joint restriction may actually be located somewhere else other than where the symptoms present. Particularly with joint pain, symptoms can be referred pain from another part of the body.

Joint & alignment work can be beneficial to the following conditions:

Joint pain (including neck, back, hips and ribs), limited mobility, whiplash, TMJ issues, joint inflammation, sprains, tendonitis, osteoarthritis, rotator cuff injuries, and more.

Testimonials

I found Jenna's approach to pelvic girdle discomfort to be intuitive and effective. With seemingly minimal manipulation and adjustment my gait and balance improved perceptively after just one session. She was direct in her assessment and professional in importment. An unconventional but very satisfactory treatment

Since seeing Jenna for a rotator cuff tear that I acquired one year ago, my shoulder feels a ton better. I have way more range of movement after she did some really interesting and non-painful nerve releases on my shoulder and neck, as well as working with some of my organs. Who knew! I'm sold on non-conventional massage therapy! I don't think I could go back to just a regular massage, having had these results. Thanks, Jenna!
